Hi

Could anyone advise me of any good books and websites that I can find out more information about the 94th Foot between 1833 and 1855.

Thanks

Try putting it into google.    That will bring up historical info and various museums etc.

Ruth,

the 94th Foot had no formal title before the Cardwell reforms of 1881, when it became 2nd Battalion Connaught Rangers. The Connaught Rangers is a much better name to try and trace it back from than using "94".

Rod
Jones, Ellis, Barker, Bates, Hackney, Cooper, Kirk, Eyre, Davies, Harris, Doney & Pearce.
Sussex, Cornwall, Lincolnshire, to name but a few!

Ruth,

The 94th was a Scottish regiment. For the period you are interested in have a look at

http://www.regiments.org/deploy/uk/reg-inf/094-1.htm

and you will see where they served. As a previous poster has said in 1881 they were united with the Connaught Rangers  (an Irish Regiment), and disbanded in 1922).
