NORWAY: Holverson - Ringsaker

Hi,

I am trying to track down my great great grandfather.  His name was Christian Holverson and was born around 1851 in Ringsaker.  His parent's first names were Haavl and Kari.     

He supposely emigranted to Wisconsin in 1908 with his wife, Christine.

You haven't said which country, but the Ringsaker I know is a place in Hedmark, Norway....

Thanks for the information.   I find that researching Norway (which I am new at) is harder because last names change every generation or names changes with each person.

It looks like Christian and his mom lost their father/husband early in life.

Is there a way or any suggestions in finding out what happened with Kari?

Helen must be my great grandfather's sister....

...could also indicate that Christian had an older sister, Johanne, b. 1838.

Think this is more likely to be Kari in 1875 with her son.

There is another person who is related who is there Even Engebretsen who is the grandson of Kari and nephew of Christian.

. It's number 14.
