John/jean August Marcon in france completed

Hi all
I looking for John August Marcon was a Mariner from France. Born in Bordeaux in France? (app. 1849). He Arrived in Australia appr. 1872. His father was Jacob Marcon. his mother Marguerite. I have no other info on his background. Would really appreciate any info on his family in France as I'm doing my family tree for my wife family.

Hi. I came across your post as I, too, am researching my family tree and was looking for information on John Auguste Marcon - Father - Jacob Marcon, Mother - Marguerite, Died 1917, 76 yrs, in South Melbourne. We must be related. Do you have any more information?

Hello,

I can't find a birth record in Bordeaux for Jean Auguste MARCON, born circa 1849 to Jacques MARCON and Marguerite.

On July 30th 1867 (Bordeaux, section 3) marriage of Jean DUFOURCQ and Catherine MARCON, daughter of Jacques MARCON and Marguerite EYMAS (they are both alive in Bourg-sur-Gironde). Jacques MARCON, born around 1805, was a shoemaker.

Jacques MARCON married Marguerite EYMAS in Pugnac in 1829

Thank you so much. This is my grandmother's maternal side of the family. Through another line in the family (my grandmother's paternal side) we are descendants of King Henry IV of France and I was looking into this line also to see if any were Huguenots like King Henry was. I don't suppose you would have any information about that? Thanks again.

There's a tree on geneanet with this couple and Jean Auguste born 12 december 1841 in Pugnac
