Hi

It is possible to obtain details of burials, and in some cases headstone inscriptions, but there is a wide range of sources to choose from and it depends where the burials were as to which sources are most easily accessible.  If you could give more information, I'm sure some kind person will point you in the right direction.

Researching
ARTHUR, ROBERTS, LEWIS and WILLIAMS in Denbighshire/Merionethshire/Glamorgan
EVANS and JONES in Montgomeryshire
FALLOW(E)S, JONES, PREECE and GITTON in Shropshire
and the list keeps growing...
(March 2006) Now looking for HINKS, SPARKES, INGRAM from West Midlands area

It really depends where you are looking.  Just like the Old Parish Records some have been transcribed other's haven't.

Finding a grave can be hit and miss but as long as you know where someone died you have a starting point.

Cheers,
Pam

if your very lucky and have more details, sks living in that area may even take a photo for you! there are people willing to do such things. the NBI may hold the info you need.Depending on how long ago the burial was, the headstone maybe still legible - unfortunatly this isnt always the case, as i've found out -as i'm sure many other people have - trooping round the graveyards. :)

if you are local to the area you are looking for you can go to the arcives like i did, and they have the information i.e who's buried were and what it says on the headstone.

hope it helps :)
