The only one of the four you mention who might have been bap before 1846 was Ellen ... I see Cornelius was born Q4 1841 but not bap till Aug 1843, so they didn't rush things.  Ellen was actually reg Q4 1843.

They could have all been baptised as methodists.

The newer version of FamilySearch.org has a couple of non-conformist entries:

Mary Willson, chr 1834 at Alford. Parents William Tate Willson and Ellen Ritchie.
John Stephen Willson, chr 1836 at Alford. Parents William Tate Willson and Elen Ritchie.

Hi Brian,

I too am researching Willson of Alford via William Tate Willson and his child by Mary Ann Wydell - namely Henry Wilson Wydell.  Are you related to this Willson family?

Hello Linda
My relationship with the Willson's of Alford is that John Willson b 1811 at Alford ( The Auctioneer and Valuer) was my 3X Great Grandfather, he was one of the son's of John Willson b abt 1784 and Eunice Tate. I have four William Tate Willson's in my tree but I do not have the link to your WTW, I would be interested to see where he stems from.

Hi again Brian,

It is William Tate Willson, born circa 1809 Chemist and Druggist of Alford who married  Ellen Ritchie and then in 1848 married Ann Atkinson - so he must be a brother to your John Willson born 1811?
