I am trying to trace my ancestor Jacob Persson who was born at Visby, Gotlands, Sweden around 1822. He came to Australia and at some stage changed his name to Jacob Chambers and  lived in Robe South Australia and  was married to Elizabeth Ann Lord. I know all about him since his marriage to Elizabeth until his death,but would like to know when he came to Australia and was it as Jacob Persson or Jacob Chambers. I have his parents names as Jacob Persson and Johanna Brita Botelsdotter.

I found the following records through family search:
Jacob Petter Jacobsson b 7 Sep 1822 bapt 6 Oct Levide,Gotland to parents Jacob Persson and Johanna Brita Botoldsdr.
He would appear to be a twin because there is a Boltold Jacobsson born and baptised the same days. There is a sister Johanna Maria b 6 Jun 1831 bapt 7 Jun and Anna Christina 20 Apr 1825 and bapt 21 Apr. All in the same place.

Jacob Persson married Johanna Brita Botelsdr 18 October 1821 in Levide, Gotland.
