Kinsella and Hoey Marriage.
« on: Saturday 19 March 11 09:08 GMT (UK) »
William Hoey Married Mary Kinsells (Kinshela) 22/2/1841
in Castledermot. Witness were Patrick and Mary Herns. It lookes like they had a daughter Anne Hoey born 1842. But I cant find this family after 1842.

16 years later,1858 William Hoey and Mary Kinsella had a son Joseph Hoey born in Dublin St Laurence O'Toole Saville Place. is this the same family.I have searched a lot of church records looking for this family with no luck. Hoping somebody researching Kinsellas and Hoeys in Co Kikdare area can help.

Thanks for that information, RoryT.
In Griffiths 1848-1864 there is a Mary Hoey living in main St Castledermot.
There is also a Daniel Kinsella living in main St Castledermot.

My thinking is that this Mary Hoey could be the wife of William Hoey who married in 1841 and Daniel Kinsella could be her father or brother.

Still hoping to find somebody researching this family.

Do not know if this is related, but I am also researching the Family name Kinshela from Castledermot/Nicholastown in the same time period. The names I am interested in are Terence Kinshela his wife Mary ? and son Timothy Kinshela. Terence I am pretty sure was from Castledermot and was born around 1776 or so; he may have married a Mary Dunn in Castledermot and a son Timothy was born around 1810. He [Terence] farmed at Nicholastown certainly between 1832 to 1836 and from information I have was reasonably connected locally at this time. His son Timothy was transported to Australia, for life, for crimes against the Crown in 1836. It would be interesting to find out if Timothy had siblings etc. and of course where, those that remained, Rest in Peace.
