COMPLETED - Look up Request in the PANS (Halifax)
« on: Sunday 20 March 11 05:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I am researching Martin MacDonald who arrived in Knoydart, Nova Scotia in 1784.  There is a reference to Martin and his two son's Martin and John in the book "NOVA SCOTIA IMMIGRANTS TO 1867" by Leonard H. Smith Jr and Norma H. Smith:

Page 408
Martin MacDonald, born Invernesshire; to N.S.  1784 (430)

Page 544
(430)  “Some notes re Early Settlers in Antigonish, Pictou, and Cape Breton.”  the Casket, Turo, N.S., 10 Jan. 1935. copy at Public Archives of Nova Scotia: MG-100, Vol. 207, No. 24

I am under the belief that the reference system used at the PANS has probably changed since the print of the Smith's book.  The very knowledge staff would most likely be able to easily access the new reference number (if indeed the reference system has changed).

If anyone is able to look up my request, it would be most appreciated.

Regards,

Peter MacDonald
