The main church and still very active is St Mary Magdelene St Clears. If you search online there is a Facebook page and phone mumber for the vicarage. It is in High Street/Bridge Street, the same road changes its name and I am not sure where. That would be my first call, though it could be one of the outlying areas still referred to as St Clears. You could try the archive service in Carmarthen to see if they can pinpoint the church.

There is also the possibity that it could be at a chapel.

I pass the church in St Clears daily, so today I called in. The grave is at The Priory Church of St Mary Magdalene (Church in Wales). If visiting, the church is on High Street, which is the road from St Clears to Laugharne/Pendine and left side of the road. It stands back, so only the gate is noticeable. Church car park down the next track.

As for the grave. If heading through the main gate, off the road, walk towards the church and at the wooden bench, go left between the graves. There are three dark granite graves together and it is the last one (I walked around the larger part first). It was a grey day, but I managed to get some photographs with lettering quite clear.

Craigwen View, St. Clears, still exists on postcode SA33 4JP. Google Maps says it is off the A477 St. Clears to Pembroke Dock road near to the Savoy Country Inn. There look to be houses down a track that Google does not go.

BillyF: I had been meaning to call since my first post, but one thing or another. This morning I was determined after a spell in the library researching.

In Wales, my first port of call is the church. Dylan Thomas wanted to be buried in the chapel graveyard overlooking the estuary he wrote about so much in Laugharne. But he did not attend chapel, or church, so they declined and he was buried in the church graveyard. Regardless of being chapel or church, the church has an obligation to put all in their ground.
