Hi Kate

Just wanted to say hello my great granfather was also Edward Driscoll, his son Tom William Driscoll born 1910 - 1973 was my grandfather...would be great if we could swap info as apparently my grandfather didnt speak about his family much, my mother only keeps intouch with 1 other relative and that is Harry Cornelius Driscolls daughter.  Thanks Leigh x

Hello Tay1.
That makes us ...second cousins?
I've only just seen your message. My line is Dorothy Driscoll b 1896 and moved to New Hythe, Kent. My mum remembers him in Plaistow. Is that right?

Tom lived in West Ham/Caning Town where Tom met my grandmother than they moved to Bexley Heath in the 1940s, as I said we have some info but not much as Tom didnt speak about his family much, my mother is in touch with Harry's daughter still as they grew up across the road from one another.  Would be great to be able to swap info x

Hi

Emma Hardy came to Bromley from Burton for the 1891 census. I think she went with her older sister Sarah Maria Hardy who married Thomas Bernard Morley in Burton in 1882 and was in Bromley in 1891.

My first post reviving a very old thread here but I guess I don't have access to the PM system being so new - Kated, I believe I am researching a member of the Hardy side of your family - Thomas Hardy (1891) of Myrtle Villa and later Sidney Street, Burton-on-Trent, son of Eunice and Thomas Hardy.

He served in the Rifle Brigade in the First World War and I've been trying to build more of his story. His medal index card is available but little else. Please send me a PM if this is of interest and we're talking about the same man.
