« on: Monday 28 March 11 22:20 BST (UK) »
Hello

I'm tracing the Haines family who I've traced back to Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

I've pretty much been able to get back to 1841 through looking up census records, and using the internet, but it'd be great to have some help in trying to get back further than that... or maybe finding out some interesting info :)

This is where I'm at...

John James Haines born 29 July 1827 in Chipping Campden

They had 6 children: Including Owen

Owen Haines born 1 October 1854, Evesham

They had 4 children including Cyril Tyler

Hello

Thanks for your replies. I've just found this on another website too:

1762 Samuel Haynes==Nancy Hathorn 13/4/1762 Bitton. (is this Nancy HAINS of Oldland buried 5th January 1831 aged 100 at Bitton?)

I wonder if they were Peter's parents.  I'll have to see if I can find something in the parish records, or maybe something is on the gravestone.

Excuse me for butting in here;

If Hannah HAYNES nee HATHORN died in 1831 age 100 and was born c 1831.
If this is the one that Married Samuel Haynes 1762 and had Peter 1800 she would be 69 when she gave Birth to Peter ???

The one Helena found is a better fit in my opinion for Peters Parents ie JOHN/MARY

Trish :)

Not sure where you got Eliza born c 1786?
In 1851/1861 census she is born c 1804, Helmington, Warwickshire.
Someone has corrected one Census to Ilmington

Possible;
Eliza HOBBINS, Christened 03 February 1804, Ilmington, Warwickshire
Parents THOMAS/ELIZABETH
