I have my grandads birth cert Matthew Henry born 26.09.1909 it states his fathers name was Michael Henry and his mothers Name was Margaret Henry nee Murtagh, I know of a brother James Henry how can i find out if there were any more brothers and sisters, cant seem to get any futher...stuck...

ps I district as Clonmellon Co Westmeath on he cert i have and somthing that looks like Cumberstown?

Have you tried the 1911 and 1901 census returns ?

This might be the family in 1911- seems to have been a child who died before 1911-

I assume the registration district on Matthew's birth is Delvin or maybe Castletowndelvin ?

Assuming the family stayed in the same area then you could search for other Henry birth registrations in the same district... since the surname is not that common any you find may be related.

I'll have a quick look at the BMD Index and post any I find...

 Registration district: Delvin
 Event type: Birth
 Quarter and year: Apr-Jun 1912
 Volume: 3 / Page : 123

not guaranteed to be Matthew's brother - but might be worth a go...

Yes I think thats the one so would you say there were only 2 brothers then...awww thanks a million for your help  :)
