Looking for Joseph Best, born 1814 in Cornwall.  Married Charlotte Baskerville from Devon around 1833.  They moved to St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands and are listed on 1861, 1871 census.  Joseph is listed on 1881 census. Trying to located either ones parents.

To kick off I have found 2 Charlotte Baskervilles' in Devon around that time on Familysearch.org.....

(1) Baptised 13 Sept 1812 at Ashwater, Devon. Parents John and Mary Baskerville.
(2) Baptised 19 Aug 1817 at Ashwater, Devon. Parents Richard and Mary Baskerville.

She didn't have a big dog that roamed around a lot did she? !!!!!

As for Joseph, there are 3 around that time in Cornwall.....
(1) Baptised 9 Dec 1811 at Roche, Cornwall. Mother Jeanne Best, father not shown.
(2) Baptised 9 Nov 1811 at Roche, Cornwall. Mother Joanna Best, father not shown.
(3) Baptised 21 May 1809 at St. Blazey, Cornwall. Parents John and Elizabeth Best.

I can't find a birth for 1814 - is that set in stone?

I have located more info. Joseph was born 1814 (still holding) in Liskeard (sp), Cornwall. Died 7 Jun 1899 Bagot, St Savior,Jersey, Channel Islands. Mother's name could have been Mary.

Charlotte  Baskerville (with or without the big dog-Ha) was born 13 Sep 1812 Ashwater, Devon. Died 21 Nov 1879 Guernsey. Parents John and Mary.  That line seems well researched.

My bonus in all this: rec'd a pic of Joseph and Charlotte's son Robert b:1852)., my maternal grandfather.

Not spotting a baptism but here is a possible burial

Mary BEST buried Liskeard 15 Apr 1835 aged 62 of Borough

This is my GG Grandfather Joseph Best. Little miss Mary is hard to find and where her female daughters went is a puzzle.  If anyone can locate little miss Mary I commend you.
