Hi Julie,

As you can see, it's 4 years since I worked on that branch of my tree . . . I had to look twice because I couldn't believe so much time had passed  :-\

I don't have much well-checked information on the Gibsons but my descent is through Emma Gibson, who appears to be a double gt. granddaughter of Thomas as her parents were 1st cousins. Well, that was what I thought at the time, but as I say I haven't visited them lately.

I'll have to refresh my memory on this branch and get back to you . . .

Mike.

Hi
Any info on my ancestors would be appreciated: Alexander Hevet (5th great grandfather) married Love Seer 14 June 1757 in Great Waltham. I am particularly curious to find out is Hevet is a French family name. (Hauvet, Hevet, Hewitt)
Thank you

Hi, I just wanted to say what a lovely resource this thread is!

I have ancestors in and around White Notley, Braintree, and in there I have Horsenail, Poulter, and Alger.  The A 'hints' for Alger and Poulter are in a totally wrong area, so I think those people in my tree are likely related to the ones in this thread!

I don't suppose there are corresponding birth and marriage records for the people in the graveyard?
