Does Georges Birth Cert have his Fathers Occp as a Plumber?
(just making sure you have the right Cert)

As there is a Birth Reg for a George DOMINEY, March 1853, Taunton, 5c 380
(Taunton Reg district is on the Devon/Somerset Boundary)

When you get the Cert let us know the outcome please.

Trish :)

as both Joseph and Ann give their birthplaces in 1851 as Buckland, Devon...

I have no confidence in this census return at all:  on other returns Joseph says he was born in Dawlish, and Ann (if indeed there is only one Ann and not two) that she was born in Stafford.

Oh heck.... ??? ???

George's birth cert states Joseph is a painter (same occupation as on the Joseph/Ann marriage cert).  George's birth was in Sandon Road, where he appears on later census returns as amarried man with his wife and family.

Interesting finds MM.

I may be leading you astray with the George Dominey Birth Reg.
Has anyone found William/Ann Dominey in 1841?.
I'm having trouble.

I'm having trouble.

I can't find Ann/William or indeed Joseph in 1841.

At this point in time, I think I'm fairly secure in saying that GG Grannie put it about a bit...

Marriage;
Omar HALL
Ann MORREY
17 June 1833, St Mary, Stafford, Stafford, England
(Source IGI Extractted)

So was Ann born c 1818 illegitimate and her Mother Married Omar Hall and she took his name later on?????
