Yes the Rhosymedre Churchyard is the most likely burial place or the Trefnant Cemetery at Acrefair.

Hi Mike

Sadly, the burial records stop before William's death and I don't see a burial for Samuel .

However, just in case, I do have the marriage of a Samuel George, collier,  to a Margaret Kinaston at St Johns, Rhosymedre on 30 March 1846. His father is recorded as John George, labourer and hers as David Kinaston, waggoner.

There is also a Samuel George who was down as a carpenter in 1846, married to and Anne, living Acrefair  :-\

Thanks both.  Looks like another trip to the area is needed.

We already had our Samuel married to Margaret Kinaston but didnt have date or parents name so thanks for that.

over 12 months has passed since our last visit to the area but we are back up this weekend. Walking Mt Snowden on Saturday and visiting Rhosymedre Churchyard & the Trefynant Cemetery at Acrefair in search of "Georges" on Sunday.

I know where  Rhosymedre Churchyard is but not the cemetery at Acrefair despite doing a google search for the postcode.

Anyone know this please?

Thanks

Mike

William Russell Jones.

Thank you very much for your time yesterday in navigating and taking us to Rhosymedre & Trefnant.

Although not direct descendants, we did find 5 "George" headstones so I'll now look to see of they fit into my wife's tree.

Best wishes

Mike
