Belgian marriage help please. *COMPLETED*

I'm trying to find the marriage of my Belgian gt grandparents, but have no idea where to start.

Their names were Desiderius Olmatus Tack and Clementina Maria Maes. I think the marriage would have taken place between 1894-1898 given that she died aged 38 in 1917 (my grandmother was born in 1899 in Ostend and I'm sure she wasn't the eldest).

Their former address given on the (English) death certificate was, 3 Rue Plateform, Ostend, so I think Ostend is where the marriage would have taken place too.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 - you're in luck, records are online here for Ostend. They're in the form of digitised pdfs which it seems you have to download per year - there is a yearly index in the actual documents and also some indexes/extracts.

e.g. if you click on
huwelijken Oostende (marriages)
then the first link is:
Akten Burgerlijke stand Oostende: huwelijken (deelreeks van 1796 tot 1908)
and within that is a link "download document", which includes the marriage of your relatives in 1898.

If you then wanted to see the original image, you need to find the entry for:
Akten Burgerlijke Stand Oostende: huwelijken (archiefbestanddeel van 01/01/1898 tot 31/12/1898)
and within that there will be a link "Digitaal document" which is the scanned original documents for that year (these are big files!)
