Hi kitlj and mwhitenstall,

Welcome to you both !  :) :)

I've checked and I still have copies of the documents that I sent to Mike. If you would like me to forward them - you can give me your email address by clicking on the small green scroll which you'll see under my username. By doing this you can send me a PM (personal message).

To enable you to use the PM facility and see the scroll you must have two or possibly three posts. By replying on here you can add to your total.

Kind regards,

Pels.

Ernest Jackson was my step-grandfather. He was commodore of the shipping line Ropners of Hartlepool and served them for 29 years. He came back from WW2 having been a prisoner of the Japanese, to find his wife and son had both died in Canada. He resumed his career and met up with my recently widowed grandmother (a former girlfriend) and married her. He died in Middlesbrough in 1962.
