Thought this may help Rootschatters researching their Kiwi WW1 soldiers.

This may be of help to someone.  I was just able to locate a WW1 record which wasn't coming up at Archway, (NZ National Archives) where it would usually be held.   

The record I found is located at at NZ Defence Force Archives, Trentham NZ, where WW2 records re held.  The reason it is held there is because the gentleman in question served in the Army in both World Wars and they are linked WW1 & WW2

So, if in doubt, check it out.  You may get a pleasant surprise!!

Interesting to be aware if you have someone who served in both World Wars the records for both would likely/maybe be at the Trentham Defence Archives. So worth checking if you can't find a WW1 record at Archway, and you think that your ancestor may have been of an age to serve in both wars.

Probably worth a check there anyway. After all, I often put sugar in with flour!! ;D ;D
