Hello again
I managed to look at the papers but could not find anything
Can you give me some idea of what they would have been about or more exact a date
I searched all letters to the editor and glanced at each page for the name but nothing
I will certainly look again for you if you can give me a little more info even by pm if you would rather and I will see what I can find
Regards
Ronnie :)

Morning Ronie
What I can gather they were Letters to the Editor, the hand written one is dated November 1936 its about  death of a William Bennell aged 77 and a bit about the Bennell family who lived in Balkerne Hill his father Samuel Bennell was a Carter
The other one just said Isaac Bennell who sent a Post Card to the Mayor of Colchester and how he can trace the father to son line back to 1640
Signed by L.C.Sier. 3 High St .Colchester No date I think this is what started  the Letters to the Editor
Hope this helps
