Hello All,

From my Wife's family.

All Died in Galashiels.

Catherine Nisbet (m.s. Fleming) - B. 1833   D. 1919

John Nisbet - B. 1854   D. 1918
Jessie Nisbet (m.s. Horsbrugh) - B. 1855   D. 1924

Margaret Horsbrugh (m.s. Howden) - D. 1873

Walter Forsyth - B. 1798   D. 1867
Christian Forsyth (m.s. Veitch) - B. 1800   D. 1877

Wilhelmina Alston Cockburn (m.s. Forsyth)  B. 1859   D. 1940

Any MI's would be great, Photo's even better, either way any help would be fantastic.

Many Thanks.

Hello,
I will be glad to check on the names you have submitted. The cd's I purchased two years ago list only people with headstones, not overall who is buried at Ladhope and Eastlands.
I will let you know in a couple of days what I find out.

Hello Kevin,

That would be fantastic if you can look for me, and hopefully one or two had a headstone.

Thank you

Hello,
I located one family from the names you sent me.
The names on the stone are Walter Forsyth (d. 1905  88 years), Jane Alstone (d. 1912,  86 years), Mary Hunter Forsyth (d. 1881,  30 years), Christina Forsyth (d. 1903, 47 years) and David Forsyth (remainder of inscription buried).
Please send me your email address so I can send you the complete transcription of the stone, photo of the stone and map of the cemetery.

Hi Kevin i was wondering if you were able to see a Alexander Anderson on your list?  aged about 12?

Alexander Anderson died 5/7/1854

His Parents were George Anderson and Sarah (nee Emond) he was 12 when he died and at the time they lived at pine row dunsdale cottages dunsdale rd selkirk.

He was no. 57 (Death that year??)
And is it ok to put the OPR number? 778/00 0060 0460

If not are there many Andersons on the list?

George and Sarah and the rest of their children came to Australia in 1855, but i can't find what happened to Georges parents James Anderson and Elizabeth (nee Ford) and georges siblings who were originally born like him in edrom/duns area, also not sure where they died/ended up..

Any Info would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Hi Kevin,
This is very kind of you to look for the MI of others on your DVD.
I am looking for William Johnstone Renwick (born April 3, 1857 and died Dec 26, 1938) and his wife, Jessie Nichol Murray Renwick (Aug 27, 1863 to March 31, 1935).

Also James Renwick (Jan 26, 1826 to Aug 2, 1903) and his wife, Helen Johnstone Renwick (March 4, 1828 to May 2, 1890).

I am in the U.S. and far away from Scotland so I especially appreciate your offer.
Bev
