I am trying to research my Kelly ancestors but dont have much information other than the following below.  I would dearly love to find Roberts parents and where on Isle of Man they were from: 

Robert Kelly, 22, Isle of Man set sail 5th August 1862 on The Crysolite and arrived in New Zealand 24th November 1862.
He married a English girl in NZ (Emma Fearman) and had the following children in New Zealand.
Robert Kelly
Herbert Kelly
Annie Kelly
George Kelly
Harry Kelly
Walter Kelly
Willie Kelly.

Is there anyone who would be able to look up his birth.  His birth would be around 1840.

Birth  registration   was   not  compulsory  until   1878  in IOM  &   so   you  are  probably  going  to  have to  rely  on  baptism

record  if  this  took  place.  Kelly  was  one of  the most  common  surnames  here  .The  equivalent  of   SMITH   in   England.

Is  it  not   possible for   you  to search  for  a  Marriage  Cert.  in  NZ   as  this  should  show father's  surname  ??

There is no indication on his marriage certificate of his parents so I am really stuck to what to do next?

There is very little information on the marriage certificate that has been given to me.

Robert Kelly, 25 years (batch) married Emma Fairman aged 23 years (spin) married  13th March 1866 at The  Manse, Christchurch, New Zealand.

His Death Certificate states Isle of Man born, no parents names other than father occupation was Farrier.
