I have traced my great grandfather back to his birth. I have the following:
James Quinn, born 1828, Ballintra. James came to America in 1844, landing in Boston.
We are trying to find more information regarding James' birth records with the Church (pretty sure Catholic), information on his parents: father John Quinn (possibly actually named John James Quinn), mother Bridget Murphy.
We would also like to possibly locate any information concerning any siblings. We believe the family stayed located in the close general region of Ballintra.
If there are Quinns out there who have connections to the following locations, I would like to hear from you: Rafoarty, Stranorlar, Laghey, Rosilly Bar, Ballintra, Ballyshannon, Stranass. Also please contact me if you might have connections to other areas in the general close region of these locations.
