Baptism records
« on: Sunday 15 May 11 13:11 BST (UK) »
When looking for cds for Huntingdonshire baptisms I can only find marriages and deaths. Does anybody know if there is one and if so where I could purchase one.

You've nothing to lose. Whilst there's no county wide baptism index many parish registers have been individually transcribed

Rootschat is very good at helping people with queeries- like you Bedfordshire Boy you have helped me a lot with various questions - but when i want to really delve into an area with the off shoots of people, as I describe it , it's better to look at the parish records if possible and although I hadn't fully made up my mind about the disc it was crossing my mind.   Strange that Huntingdonshire haven't put the whole of the baptisms on one disc, never mind no real problem.

There are a number of Hunts parishes transcribed on FreeReg, at the moment I'm transcribing Fen Stanton 1813 - 1843  (100 images !). It's interesting to note that the parish is included in Ancestry's christening records - so I can check out dubious hand written entries.
