Seeking James Hopkinson
« on: Saturday 12 June 04 21:52 BST (UK) »
Here's what I know:
Born 1850, Stretton, Derbyshire.
Married Charlotte XXXXXXXX, around 1880
1n 1901 he was a stone mason.
Died after 1914, when he was listed as a farmer.
Had eight children, which is what happened before they invented TV.

Could anyone trace for me:
His parents
His death
His wife's maiden name.

As I have drawna  blank so far.

Thanks

David Fleming

Thank you, yes I have that information from the 1881 census

I have also tried the sites you mention, but thanks for mentioning them

There are so many Hopkinsons from the Wooley Moor area of Derbyshire! Now if only he had a surname like "Umpaloompa"......
