I think the National Archives has some records for National Schools, but dont know which ones are available.

Schools are often listed in directories but do not seem to be indexed in Thoms, so it's a case of searching for them street by street.

I'd say there were quite a few schools in the city centre.

Richard Glennon and his wife Sarah kept at 3 Suffolk. Street 'The queerest looking little shop in Dublin,' which among other curios also sold antiquities. ...
from a journal of 19th century antiquities Richard and Sarah?
The Sarah you mentioned died at Henry her sons, could poss be brother of Richard if they had another son named Richard.

There are 3 references to Richard Glennon (Publican) in The Irish Times  at No.1 Haymarket.
On 9/6/1860 in the Police Intelligence Col. again on 20/12/1862 where there is a reference to his Insolvency and in the Law Report for 23/1/1863.

I have several references to Glennons in The Irish Times  for  No.3 Suffolk Street in the early 1860s. Would you like these?
