Samuel family of Tryddyn
« on: Wednesday 18 May 11 15:48 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find info on Richard Samuel b 1770 in Flints, don't know who he married but he had a dau Maria b 3 May 1795 in Moel y Crio & died in Tryddyn Fechan but was Maria Griffiths by then.
I found a William Samuel on the 1841 census b about 1796 & wondered if he was Maria's bro???     He was living at Gronvoel Bach next to Ty'n y Pistell which I beleive is the Tryddyn area.
Does anyone have Parish Records they can look up, please?
Thank you, Amberly.

Hello

Did you ever get any further with this?

Richard Samuel is one of my 4xg grandfathers on my mothers side, his daughter Maria being the wife of Thomas Griffiths who are my mothers family (her maternal grandmother was Mary Ellen Griffiths).
Some of the elder children of this marriage went to Moss in Wrexham, while my branch remained in Tryddyn - I was contacted early in my search by a distant Griffiths cousin, Brian Griffiths (Wrexham) who had done a lot more work on the family tree

regards

Christine Smith (nee Jones)

Hi Chrissie,
I think we've been in contact on Genes Reunited.   Yes I have gone a bit further back.  I was a Griffiths before I married & Brian is my cousin.   I think I can contact you personally so I'll do that in due course but too busy today.
TTYL,
Amberly.

Hi, Amberly

Ooops - forgot we had been in contact :-[

Started on Genes Reunited but found it a bit limiting so moved to Ancestry a while ago (am celticcapricorn on there)

Would be nice to connect - I am having rather more luck with my paternal side so Mum's has taken a bit of a back seat
