Barry have a look at the following link. There was a Thomas and Mary Ellen Monaghan in the 1911 census from a place called Ouley just outside Rathfriland. They have only one son at this stage. Best bet maybe parish records. Where are you from? And how far have you got yourself ? http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Ouley/Castle_Enigan/253901/

Regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Sorry a lot of time has passed since your post.
Anyway, I live fairly close to Rathfriland, Hillsborough Co. Down. My mother still lives in Ballygally on the Antrim coast near were she was originally from and were I was brought up.
Another member of my fathers family, his brother, Tom, died about 20 years ago, he spent his adult life in Dublin.
I hope this finds you well. Sorry for the extraordinary delay in replying.
I am not really searching for information, but just happened to google his name one night and your thread came up. Some info would be nice as he died just before I was born and I really know very little about him.
Thanks
Barry
