Peregrine Butler of Dungarvan
« on: Wednesday 25 May 11 23:44 BST (UK) »
He was supposed to be either son of Walter Butler, or illeg son of Peregrine Osborne

His mother may have been Helena, and she was also supposedly connected to the Osborne family.

Betham's will abstracts SOG
Peregrine Butler of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, Gent. 14 Aug 1754 pr. 1762
Sister Lucy of London, wife Elizabeth (Greene), daus Mary, Lucy, Elizabeth, Susanna, Patricia, Melian, Anne, Frances & Catherine.

There was or is a Butler Society and they have several references to Peregrine, would any of you know if any Library holds copies of their publications.

National Library of Ireland has designated the Journal of the Butler Society as periodical ISSN 0572-5828.

This is a copyright library, so they have copies.

Hi, on my grandmothers side I am related to Elizabeth Greene - Peregrine's wife - we were actually born in the same house, sadly no longer there - fell to progress as a road went through it.

Hi all
Peregrine Butler of Dungarvan was confirmed as the son of Joseph Butler in Memorial Deed No 31312 dated 7 Aug 1725.  An original of the attached can be located via the Irish Deeds Index web site which links to the Latter Day Sites FHL site.
