Stella Haveron
« on: Friday 27 May 11 13:13 BST (UK) »
Looking for a marriage of Stella M. Haveron. She was born Portsmouth, 1920 and later lived in Whitley Bay, Northumberland; parents Charles and Margaret Haveron. I presume the marriage to be between 1940 and 1948, possibly Northumberland. Name of Spouse unknown and all that is known is that they moved to Australia before c 1950.

         Many Thanks.
             Robert.

Hi

Are you sure that she married in the UK as I can't see a marriage on any of the records?

Hi Jan,
No, I'm not sure at all. I too have looked at the records and failed to find anything but, I thought that was just me.
I believe she was in the Army during the war but, I 'thought' she would have been married in the UK. Maybe my thinking's at fault.

         Robert.

I think I've got her  ;D ;D ;D ;D

A Miss S M Haveron left Liverpool on the 20th October 1946 destination Melbourn. Date of birth 1920 age 26. She was a clerk. She sailed on the Orbita and from the passenger list it looks as if she was alone. Last address 2, Esplanade Place, Whitley Bay, Northumberland.

So it looks as if you need to ask on the Australian board to see if they can find a marriage.

Hi Jan and gortonboy,

That's solved the problem, or the main part anyway, she wasn't married. I will go over to the Australian board and see if they can find the marriage.

        Many Thanks Again.
              Robert.

Stella left to meet up with her Fiancée known as  "Bluey" in Melbourne.

They married there and had 2 children Peter and Ruth.

Bluey died a long time ago but Stella survived a few years more dying in the 1980's in Melbourne.

Her sister Renee continued to live in Whitely Bay until she died a few years back - she was survived by her son Derek and Daughter Diana.

Peter, their brother died in Buckinghamshire in 1987 leaving 3 sons, Michael, Nigel and Andrew.

Although born in Portsmouth the Family are from Jarrow / Wallsend and originate from County Antrim in Ulster

Hope that helps

Welcome to Rootschat

It doesn't look as if Robert has been on Rootschat since 06 June 14, but hopefully, if he hasn't changed his e-mail address, he will get notification of your post.

You will need to remove the names of any living people in your post, as Rootschat has a no living person policy. If Robert does post, just answer a couple of times and then you can communicate by PM  (Personal Message)
