Alexander Robertson Gibson Minister of Carnoustie

I am trying to find out more about Alexander Robertson Gibson the brother of my great grandmother Joanne ( Ann )Gibson.

He was born in 1844 at Fowlis Easter Angus . He married Catherine Bowie c 1881 and they had one son also Alexander

Robertson Gibson b 1884.

Alexander senior was a minister in Carnoustie from c 1880 until 1920. He died  in 1929.

I would also like to find where he is buried where can I access the MI's for Carnoustie .

There is a published set of volumes giving brief biographies of the ministers of the Church of Scotland called Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae. It is available on-line too if you enter it in a search engine. They are arranged by synod. You could also look in a list of graduates (try King's College or Marischal College first) to see what is said there.
