The Jerrim family Southhampton
« on: Monday 30 May 11 09:32 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone look up this family for me?
Rose Jerrim married Charles Henry Carr on 31 oct 1882, the witness on the marriage certificate is one Henry Jerrim, I know a Rose Jerrim was on the 1881 census as a  servant in another houshold but have little knowlegde of her befor this.
I have seen an enrty in the 1881 return for Heny with a wife Ellen and there is an entry in 1871 under the name Jerrien corrected to Jerrim.
Any help would be greatfully recieved.
Cheers

Phil

as you gave no y.o.b. for Rose I am assuming after marriage on 1891 census she is in Cardiff age28 p.o.b. Southampton (she is with husband Charles H & 4 children) RG12 4396 7 10

so am assuming this is the family you have found in 1871

Ellen daughter 13
Mary Ann daughter 11
Jane dauhgter 9
ROSE daughter 7
Edwin H son 2
all b Itchen Hampshire

RG10 1196 57 21

if this is the correct family what other census information do you require??

Thank you both that all looks correct and of great value, Charles Henry Carr was born in Sunderlad or there abouts as Far as my Dad remembers, he was my great grandfather and did move to Cardiff. He became a master cf-raftsman Boiler Maker but a terrible Alcoholic, unit he was converted to christanity, that changed his life.

Onwe more question, where do you look to get this much detail, which website? I am thinking of subscribing myself but can't decide which of the providers is the best to go with!
Any advice?  ;)

Thanks again for all you help
