Really?!  I am surprised at that and I wonder why burials are included.

How can I go about asertaining the parish and townland!?

Thanks again for this information,

Peter

Dont know the reason for it, but if you look through the index of parish films in the NLI, or other sources like the RC parish details on the Irish Times you can see how few RC registers include death/burials : RC Parishes Monaghan  You can also see that few of the parishes have baptism or marriage records going back before about 1830...

that's the vicious circle  of early parish research - you need to know the location first since not all parishes have records for early dates. The place to start is at the other end - i.e. more recent records - see :

The Primary Valuation (circa 1860) lists two Sylvester McCabes in Co Monaghan at:

1) Townland Lisdrumcleve: Parish Aghamullen: Registration District Castleblaney
2) Townland Edenbrone: Parish Aghamullen: Registration district Cootehill

Both are map reference No 23, so must be in close proximity even though in different registration districts whilst both correspond with the two death registers.

Good luck,
J.T.A.
