St Audrey's Hospital Graveyard, Melton (nr. Woodbridge)
« on: Thursday 09 June 11 11:23 BST (UK) »
Looking through these boards I notice that St. Audrey's often crops up.

I have discovered that Suffolk Records Office (Gatacre road, Ipswich) have carried out a survey of the graves in the cemetery, photographed all headstones they could find and researched the life stories of 4 of the people buried threin (no names were given to me).

Sue Lodwick, one of the researchers, would be very grateful for any information about the Jewish section of said graveyard.  She can be contacted at the Record Office on 01473  584541.

I hope some of you find this of help.

Regards... Andrew.

I am sure that Suffolk Record Office, Ipswich branch are aware of the Jewish records available via www.suffolkchurches.co.uk ?

Are they only looking for records from St Audry's though ?

I will be at the SRO for a meeting in a couple of weeks time for an SLHC meeting.

I was passed the information to place on these boards by a friend, perhaps I should have stated that in my earlier post, for those that may be interested.

If you're going to the S.R.O., no doubt any clarification necessary will be made.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

Regards... Andrew.

I am thinking out loud here but I wonder if my relative (who died in 1932) was one of them....
