You can see Buckingham Place on the c1890 OSI map, between Buckingham Street Upper and Portland Row

see : Buckingham place  (select the 25" historic map)

Not sure what you require is it maps or photographs? or a satelite map/photographic view? or what era?

search for Buckingham Place on www.flickr.com and there are several photographs especially from the North Strand Bombings

Also there are recent photographs from the news as the Queen passed that way last month when in Dublin

Thank you Shane, that's great. Its all been knocked down and rebuilt around that area so doesn`t show up on any recent maps etc.

Myluck.
Have been adding pictures of what the housing/area etc was like in the days of the individuals in mine and my husbands family tree, so for example one of his rels was living at summerhill so I have a photo/picture of the home they lived in from around the date that they lived there amongst the photos of the individual themself. It builds up a lovely picture of the lives of our ancestors. To some maybe this seems a bit silly but if you look at my tree and all the bits that are with it,it looks good and is really interesting. (even if only to me ).

Looking at the old map and knowing the area well, Buckingham Place would be where Portland close is now located.
Its a small cul de sac just off Portland row beside  a large red brick building that was once known as the the 'Old maid's Home'.

Hi Chelle 5

My mother is currently researching under the Voisey name, and we believe we have Charlotte Voisey in common, as yours and ours both married the same bloke! Haha. I'd really like to discuss this further with you if and when you're ready?
