Hi John,

I am a direct relative of George Henderson who was married to Ada.  George & Ada's son, John Edward married Winifred Peacock and they had my mother, Joan Henderson in 1924.  My mother is still alive today and remembers very fondly her Grandpa (nicknamed Dippy) and her Grandma Ada (known as Anita).  When John Edward died at age 33 (my mother was 10) she not long after lost all contact with her much loved Grandma Ada.  We would love to find out what happened to Ada and where she is buried.
I would love to know where you fit into our family tree?
Liz

Noticed this thread resurrection because of the new post-

I also have HENDERSON from Dunfermline, although some time earlier than yours. I don't know if you've got any further back but my ancestor who left was John HENDERSON 1762 who went to Newcastle. His parents were James HENDERSON and Elizabeth LOW who married in 1761. James' parents might have been John HENDERSON and Isobel PHILP who married in 1725 Dunfermline.

Could be nothing to do with yours, but given the location I thought I'd drop that in there just in case.
