Munro Brothers in NZ after 1881
« on: Monday 13 June 11 11:50 BST (UK) »
David Alexander Stevenson MUNRO and Thomas Murray MUNRO arrived in NZ some time after 1881. David died 1936 and Thomas in 1937. David married twice and had no issue but thomas, at his time of death had 3 daughters and 4 sons. I am seeking any contact family wise with these two Munro brothers.

Ron in South Australia.

Yes, Janette, I know David married twice and no Issue and that Thomas "married" and had 3 daughters and 4 sons; one who died in Crete WW2. I have made sort of contact in Matamata and some other town in NZ that escapes my memory. I have send 3 letters about 3 weeks ago but as yet no replied to these definite contacts. So I was hoping that this Entry here would get me contacts that will reply to their Aussie cousin; after all I don't mind if NZ win Rugby as I don't follow the game hehehehehe.

Yes, I contacted Three MUNRO Definate connections in that area by telephone Email AND posted a letter to each. This was about 3 months ago but none have as yet replied. So guess they are not genealogist as such so I will just be content that I know finally where the Two MUNRO Brothers went and leave it at that. One Day when I visit NZ I will visit brothers graves and pay my respects to them.
