It was Mallard who was asking about George Hilson. May I ask you about
my earlier query regarding Robert Hilson who may well be a brother of George?
Robert was a witness in 1804 at Winwick at the marriage of James Farrington
and Susannah Clarke. I have not been able to trace the birth or baptism of
James Farrington who died in 1835 in Winwick. If James and Robert were friends, which seems likely, it may well be that they came from the same parish or area.
Any light you can throw on the Hilson family may shed light also on the origin
of James.
