Not much in the papers so far. ???
The Royal Cornwall Saturday, January 17, 1874;
Transer of licence of the Cornish Mount Church Town Crowen from Richard Symons to Richard Faull.

This is better. Edited version.
The Royal Cornwall Gazette, Friday, July 13, 1855;
To be sold on Monday, Inn known as Cornish Mount now in occupation of Henry Semmens. Tenement is held for 99 years determinable on the deaths of John Pool aged about 68, Mary Semmens aged 42, and Elizabeth Curry aged 27  daughter of John Ward .

The Royal Cornwall Gazette, March 31, 1854.
Henry Semmons inkeeper at Crowen states that he was on the jury at the Coroners inquest on the body of Phillipa Holman, her husband James Holman was accused of murder  :o :o :o He was sentenced to be `hanged by the neck till your body shall be dead , then your body shall be buried in the precincts of this prison.`
It states that the judge showed great emotion, and burst into tears. .

Cornwall Quarter Sessions .
Royal Cornwall Gazette, April 12, 1834
Hanniball Rowe 12 indicted for stealing 5 sovereighns and other gold coins. Guilty transported 7 years. No mention of  where he lived , but such an unusual name.

The Royal Cornwall Gazette, , March 10, 1854
At Camborne. Death of the son  aged 7 months  of Hannibal Rowe inkeeper

The Royal Cornwall Gazette, Friday, October 07, 1864;
John Jose, landlord of the Half Moon Inn Zelah was assaulted by Thomas  Roberts.

That is all I can find using  ` key words.` I don`t know if it`s the sort of stuff you wanted, but .............

well that is a great start many thanks I know the Pools owned other pubs in the area so does this imply Henry was A tenant of David POOL
I had found Richard SyMONDS there but although it is a form of the surname used by branches of the family I can't link him onto the tree yet
The murder is a very sad event to happen in such a lovely area
I believe John WARD was a brother in law of Henry ( two of his sisters married WARD brothers and two more married POOLEY brothers
Many thanks
