I was born at 3 The Butts in 1944. It was a maternity home. The building is still there. It's an old stone building, clearly visible on Google Earth.

From newspaper snippets
Staff advertised in the 1930 s and 40 s for the Warwick County Maternity Home, 3 The Butts.
Officially opened 30th Sep 1920 but had been in use since 1917.
Run by Warwickshire County Council.
I must have walked past the house many times.

Thanks Cathy, I was raised in Leamington until I was six and have joined to try and trace any of my Mother's family, her maiden name was Hood. When we moved to Nottinghamshire we had no further contact with them.
