Newbattle Cemetry (old) Dalkeith Midlothian
« on: Sunday 26 June 11 18:17 BST (UK) »
Hi looking for some help on tracing family graves in Newbattle Cemetery (old one) Dalkeith Midlothian Scotland.
Was in there today trying to find it but the graveyard is so overgrown that trees and weeds cover many headstones. I was very sad indeed to see it in such a way like it has been forgotten, some of the graves in there are 100's of year old and deserve respect.
Anyway i am looking for the surname BRACKS date of death around 1936 don't really have much more information than that .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Not sure how far back you want to go with burials at Newbattle, but there is a long running post here on RC on this Cemetery www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=341371.0

Are you still looking for BRACKS in Newbattle?

I have a Adam Bracks, 71, Leith, interred 4/04/1917 &
In Memory of Alexander Bracks, (age 48 Blinkbonny) died 12th May 1916 Also his wife Mary Webster (age 74 Gorebridge) died 10th April 1948. Interesting surname. First time I've ever seen it.
