The above 2 children may or may not be the children of "your" Martha but, that's for you to look into if you want.
I also found the plot details for Gavin Young & Ann Forrest.
Owners listed (in Victorian times) as "G.Y. & A.F."
In the centre lair are -
ANN YOUNG, aged 72 years. 29th March 1880.
GAVIN YOUNG, aged 79 years. 4th August 1885.
JAMES YOUNG, aged 2 years & 11 months. 4th May 1896.
In the north lair is -
MARTHA YOUNG, aged 70 years. 24th March 1914.
There doesn't seem to be a headstone at this plot. I have a sneaky feeling that this may originally have been a Littlejohn plot, do you have any information about this side of the family?
If you ever make it over to Wishaw let me know, I can at least show you where this plot is.
Stewart Town was a small village, almost a continuation of "Wishaw Town" (as it was called then) and it is now included in the modern-day town of Wishaw, it can easily be found, Stewarton Street is a main road in the town. Cambusnethan, as well as being the name of the civil parish, was also a small village about a mile from Wishaw Town. It is also part of the town now but still with an independent aspect about it.
An "out-worker" was someone, usually a female, who worked on the land. Farmers employed them to pick fruit, plant potatoes, turnips, clean-out pig stys (or should that be sties?). You get the picture. We sometimes called them "by-workers", people could be described as working "out by".
It sounds odd to say it nowadays. (and I'm only 27!)
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Lodger.
