By 1851 This Richard is Married to a Bella;

So did Ann die and Richard remarry?
There is a Death Reg for a ANN Arrowsmith, Dec 1836, Wem and C, 18 155
If this is Ann and she does not appear on any Census it is hard to know when/where she was born.

On the same page is Bella SMITH

The only Child I can find to Richard/Ann in Prees is WILLIAM Christened 19 Dec 1824, Prees, Shropshire.

That now makes sense!!I could not find Ann Barnfields(Arrowsmiths) death record and that is because she died in 1836!Still cannot find the marriage record though for Richard Barnfield and Ann in 1820s in Shropshire although found them in 1841 and after!!

I have found the 1871 Census now but have not found a Christening of JOHN Barnfield to a Richard/Ann.

1881 she may be under Arrowsmith with Mother HANNAH born c 1833, Ighfield, Shropshire.
She is Unmarried, and a Shopkeeper with several Children.

Yes that is right!My direct descendant is Richard Barnfield born 1790  in Prees,Shropshire,his wife was Ann and in 1871 he is living with his son John barnfield and that is where I saw the Harrowsmith.

OK Ricard is easy to find 1841 with Family and Ann.
1851 he is Widowed and a Lodger and Son Richard is there too.
Is this him in 1861?

Although Ann is down as born c 1801 Shropshire in 1841 as she id dead by 1851 it may be a mistake and she was born out of/they Married out of Shropshire.
