This looks promising but no parent unfortunately!!

1871 Oxford Terrace
Parish : Lyncombe & Widcombe
District : Bath, Lyncombe & Widcombe
County : Somersetshire
Caroline Walker  / age 57  / Head of Household
  occupation : n/a / Birthplace : Somerset
Hannah Walker  / age 21 / daughter
  birthplace : Somerset
Mark Walker / age 17 / son
  birthplace : Somerset
Frederick Walker / age 9 /grandson
  birthplace : Somerset

now on the 1861 cns, Caroline is with husband John and Frederick is listed as so age 0!!! but they also have another daughter on there named Ann aged 23.  Caroline and John are both aged 49!!

What was Fredericks mother named?  Who were his siblings?  I know his father was named George an engine driver, but where did you get your info from if not from a birth cert?  are you guessing his name was Frederick if he was known as Fred, could be Alfred or Frederic

I got Frederick's Father's name from Frederick's marriage certificate to Sarah Ann.
I know he was a fisherman and so consequently does not appear in 1891 & 1901 census. This I'm assuming is because he was at sea.
I did find him in 1911 census on board a houseboat in Dublin in Sir Rodgersons Quay.

1901 and 1911 census details on the family already posted (reply #11)- in 1901 they were in Wales.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Shane,
On my mother's birth certificate it gives her father's name as James Roche and her mother as Florence. Home address as no. 11 Fitzwilliam Quay, Ringsend. Could you see if they lived at that address in 1910 because they don't show on the 1911 census. The only information after that is on Florence's death cert. which gives her as a widow 1919.

Paul.

Closest date I can do before 1911 is Thom's 1906 -  number 11 Fitzwilliam Quay, Ringsend is listed as a Mr. F. A. Walker. Some of the same people are listed as per the 1911 census, - but no sign of any Roche householder.
