If it is the same Richard Henry SANDILANDS, he would have been 9 years of age in 1924.

Could Eliza, be short for Elizabeth and could May Gibbs be the cousin of Grandma Boyle then?
As I see both Gibbs families lived in Marylebone?

Who is Eliza?  The 1881 and 1901 census is for the same GIBBS family.

Mrs VIVIAN, an elder sister of Katherine nee GIBBS, was in Perth.

The VIVIAN marriage?  Was Annie previously married too or left a husband in the UK?

That's a good find, Essie. A shipping record for her would be handy, or her death cert.

We certainly have got well off the track for George, but it has been fun.  ;)

It is possible he was deceased and that's why she came out to be with her sister.  :)

Er..., no.  He married in Birmingham in 1930!  Described himself as a widower.
