William Wyllie and Mary Maria Rogers - completed thank you
« on: Tuesday 12 July 11 11:22 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the marriage details of William Wyllie and Mary Maria Rogers, married on 4 August 1834 in Biggleswade according to the IGI?

I am wondering if William could be the son of James Wyllie and Margaret Webster, born 1793 in Forfar, Angus. His first wife Martha Morrison died in 1822, so if this is a second marriage he would be described as a widower.

4th August 1834 in Biggleswade by Licence.

William Wylie (of St George's Bloomsbury London) widower and
Mary Marie Rogers widow of this parish.
They both signed, and the witnesses, whose names weren't all THAT clear  :(  were Robt Stones? Ebenezer something Wyllie and Wm Morison? Wyllie.

Hope that helps?

Carol

Thank you, Carol, that is great. William Mor(r)ison Wyllie clinches it - he was the son of the one I'm interested in. I was hopimg it might give hi father's name but obviously it doesn't but WMW is good enough.

I'm very grateful to you for your trouble.
