John Edmund Shrubb in Sheerness

I'm looking for any birth  info on John Edmund Shrubb born around 1817 in Sheerness. His parents are John Shrubb/Rebecca Scott.  I'm also looking for a marriage for his parents.
Any help would be really appreciated.

I wonder if you made any progress with your research into John Edmund's parents?
I have been researching my step father, Henry James Pounder 1905-1982 and John Shrub/Rebecca Scott were his Great Great Grandparents. I have been unable to find much information about them.
My Step Father was related through John Edmund's sister Elizabeth Rebecca.

Hi Richard thanks for your message.

 I found a marriage for a Rebecca Scott/John Shrubb at Gillingham Parish Church on 15/4/1816, witnesses John Scott/Elizabeth Pankhurst which I think is correct as Rebecca is living in Church St on 1841 census, and a John Shrubb is buried in the same Churchyard 30/8/1835 (a Millwright).

The only other info I have found for Rebecca is a Baptism for Rebecca Elizabeth Scott at HM Dockyard Church Sheerness  - father John Scott, mother Elizabeth - but I'm not sure about this as she is only Rebecca on her marriage. But then again her 1st daughter (my 2xgr grandmother) is Elizabeth Rebecca!

Still haven't been able to find anything to confirm John Edmund's birth.   Are you on Ancestry? My Bailey Tree is public on there if you want a look.

I only use Ancestry.co.uk on a pay per view basis so I cannot see member trees.

I had found death records for a John Shrubb for 1835 and 1839. Given that he is shown as a Millwright on John Edmund's marriage certificate and the census information you have I agree 1835 looks right.

My stepfather was related to Rebecca's second daughter Rebecca Elizabeth born in 1852. They cetainly didn't make things easy by using the same names.

If I come across anything on John Shrubb I will let you know.
