Sara (NEWITT) BRIDGEMAN

Can anyone help with this person Sara (Newitt) Bridgeman.  She immigrated to Adelaide on the 'Katherine Stewart Forbes' from Gravesend in October 1837 with husband, Thomas Walter Bridgeman, (no children mentioned). They married in 1834 in England.  As far as I know they lived in George St., Adelaide till about 1843.  Thomas immigrated to New Zealand about 1843 and married my GG Grandmother in Nelson, NZ IN 1843. But from a lot of family trees compiled of this family it is recorded Sara died in 1837 but I have not been able to find a death record.
 Can anyone help with this and were there any children born in SA to Thomas and Sara?

Just found on ancestry.com that Thomas and Sara had a daughter, Susannah in 1838 and a son, Alexander in 1841 in Melbourne, Victoria. So I guess she didn't die in 1837?  It is possible Thomas left Sara and the children and started a new life in NZ and married my GG Grandmother whom he left with children years later.

Those two children born in Victoria show A Sarah as the mother but not her maiden name at all
However  the death of one of the children reveals

there is  a marriage in Victoria  in 1853 for a Sarah Bridgeman marrying a Joseph Foster reg no 743

a Sarah Foster dies in 1876 aged 63 she was born in Kent  but no parents details are known


a  possibilty this might be her

So perhaps born shortly after arrival in Adelaide. The entries in the Index may be from baptism records?

So Susanah was born in Adelaide, SA not Victoria??  Was Alexander, the other child born 1841, born in Adelaide as well?

I think my Thomas Bridgeman was from Kent and Sara Newitt from Surrey??  They were married in Surrey.

I think the place of death for ALEX  ALFRED is mistranscribed on the index and should be CARNGHAM which is about 30 km west of BALLARAT.

There was another death at  Carngham which may turn out to be a relative of ALEX.
