Oh Good!

We can be sure it is the right couple thanks to the Electoral Roll.

Cando has also found the engaged daughter with her parents.

Cando... BIG thank you -  and Sue and Judith and Debra ... thank you so much for all your hard work, time and effort.  I started this thread with just a wondering of what may have  happened to one brother to learn about the lives and loves of two other brothers aswell.. much, much more than I ever expected or hoped for - how absolutely wonderful!  I really can't thank you enough...

Very kind regards

Angie

Hi All ( anyone still interested in this post)

Captain2 (Angie) and I have had some personal correspondence as I am researching my Hyde family from Smethwick, Staffordshire (now a suburb of Birmingham).

We have come to the conclusion that two people named George Hyde and born around 1898 emigrated to Australia. There is Angie's George from Reading and my George son of John/Jonathan Hyde of 19 Park Hill Road, Smethwick. My George has a letter attached to his military documents requesting a copy of his discharge papers to be sent to him c/o Mr W Dent, Nhill, Victoria, Australia. This is the George who travelled out on the Ormonde in 1924.

I just thought I would post this as a follow up to the previous discussion and to alert future researchers about the two men of the same name.

Best wishes
