I'm not looking for any living relatives I'm looking to trace my grand pareants. My father was Michael and he passed away in 91 in ayr also my grandfather passed about 2Y's later, my grandmother passed when i was very young. The problem is that i don't have much to go on as my father and mother divorced when i was 7 they didn't get married in ayr but we lived in ayr. my fathers side of the family also live in ayr,Sorry to be so vague but was hoping  someone might have any information I do know that my father was a fisherman

Hi
I think you will still need to be a bit more definite for people to be able to help.

For example:
Grandfather's name is ? Michael Murphy died c1993 in Ayr. What age was he?
Your father also Michael Murphy died 1991 in Ayr. What age was he?
Which of these is  the 'father was called Michael' in your first post ?

Do you not have any idea of your grandmother's name?
Is your mother still alive?  Or when did she die?  If she's alive, can she not throw any light on your queries?  Or can't you find her?

Do you have any idea of the years the family lived in Ayr?  and in Glasgow?

I can't help as I don't have much knowledge of Scottish research, but these are basic questions I think other researchers will need to know.

Best wishes

hi all  :)

in ayrshire in 1991
however there is a death for michael murphy in 1992 ayr ayr born c1937

when did your mother and father divorce ?
i've found several divorces that might fit but i don't want to name them if your
mother is still alive  :-\
